Definitely! Online yoga classes are usually pre-recorded class videos. They allow you to practice at times that work in your schedule. One great benefit of online class videos is the ability to pause the video whenever you need to. So if you want to spend a little extra ime practicing or understanding something, just rewind or pause as much as you need to. That is not something that can be done during live or in-person classes.

If you have never tried yoga before or have done just a few classes, then I suggest that you look for classes that clearly state that they are for beginners.

These types of classes offer more instruction and information to help build a strong foundation from which to practice yoga from.

I teach vinyasa (flow) style classes mix moving consistently with some longer holds in poses. I often encourage students to learn to customize poses throughout to make the practice fit their bodies and needs instead of them fitting into the practice.

My classes often have a mix of movement, mindset, and moderate challenge for an added focus on building strength.

This is a common misconception about yoga. Largely due to all the beautiful & bendy poses that we see all over social media.

The truth is, strength, mobility, stillness, and yes flexibility are all benefits from practicing yoga - non of which are requirements to practice yoga.

If you have any injuries or concerns, it is always advised to speak with your doctor or healthcare professional before attempting online yoga classes. They will let you know if you are able to start your practice.

Additionally, with or without an injury, it is always in your best interest to practice within your own abilities and never force yourself into positions or poses. Always listen to your body and respect what it needs in each moment, in each class, and in each day.

Absolutely! It is done from the comfort of your own home or wherever you choose to practice. And one of the best parts about online yoga is that if you need a break, all you have to do is hit pause and then come back to it when you are ready.

Having the ability to do your practice on your own time is one of the best benefits of online yoga.
